Job summary

Mercy in Edmond, OK is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our patient‑focused team. Under the supervision of the lead therapist and department manager, you will set up and operate respiratory care equipment used in diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease and illness.

We value certified professionals with strong clinical skills. Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a NBRC‑approved program, current state licensure, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of NBRC-approved program.
• Licensed by state Respiratory Care Board.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Registered as a therapist by NBRC.
• BLS/CPR through an AHA-approved course.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment.
• Assist in diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease or illness.
• Work under supervision of the lead therapist and department manager per physician requests.

Position Details

Minimum Required

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Succesful completion of program approved by National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Licensure: Licensed with state of practice Board for Respiratory Care.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required.
• Certification/Registration: Registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Other skills & knowledge: (skills, knowledge, abilities)
• BLS/CPR through an American Heart Association approved course.

Preferred

• Education: 1-3 years technical school completed preferred.
