Job summary

Mercy Bethany seeks a qualified Respiratory Therapist to set up and operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosing and treating pulmonary conditions.

You will work under the supervision of the lead therapist and department manager, collaborating with physicians to ensure safe, effective patient care and proper equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of NBRC-approved program.
• Licensed by state respiratory care board.
• Minimum 1 year experience in respiratory care.
• Registered as a respiratory therapist by NBRC.
• BLS/CPR certification through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment.
• Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease.
• Work under supervision of lead therapist and department manager.

Position Details

Minimum Required

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Succesful completion of program approved by National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Licensure: Licensed with state of practice Board for Respiratory Care.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required.
• Certification/Registration: Registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Other skills & knowledge: (skills, knowledge, abilities)
• BLS/CPR through an American Heart Association approved course.

Preferred

• Education: 1-3 years technical school completed preferred.
