Job Description:
Methodist Charlton Medical Center is seeking a full-time Night Registered Respiratory Therapist. This position offers a $15K sign-on bonus.

Your Job:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for therapeutic and diagnostic procedures including ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance. You should be proficient in respiratory assessment and treatment for both adults and neonates. Procedures are performed under indirect supervision of the medical director, following departmental policies. The RRT must demonstrate knowledge, skills, understanding, and ability to care for patients of all ages, respecting diverse needs based on age, sex, race, and culture.

Your Job Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NRP and PALS certifications must be obtained within 1 year of hire
• Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Texas Medical Board
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Minimum 6 months of respiratory care experience

Your Job Responsibilities:
• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR, and mechanical ventilation
• Conduct and report diagnostic procedures such as ABG analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, and EKGs
• Prepare treatment evaluations based on physical assessments, patient interviews, and medical records
• Use critical thinking to determine appropriate actions
• Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data
• Assemble, operate, and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment
• Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance tasks
• Maintain and clean equipment and work areas
• Use effective communication to enhance patient satisfaction
• Perform other duties as required
