Job summary

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for night shift to guide patients through routine and critical care. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality care.

You will work with advanced respiratory technology, receive mentorship from RT leaders, and join a dependable team focused on ongoing professional growth and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate or Associate Degree required.
• CRT-State Certified Respiratory Therapist or RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing respiratory status and determining needs for interventions.
• Delivering evidence-based respiratory therapies across emergency, ICU, and acute settings.
• Managing ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your role will include:

• Assessing respiratory statusby performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, anddeterminingthe need for respiratory interventions.
• Deliveringevidence-based therapyby providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Managing ventilation and airwaysbyassistingwith artificial airway placement,initiatingand adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,monitoringpatientresponses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.
• Supporting patients and the care teamby educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.
• Maintainingequipment and safetyby setting up,operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree
• (CRT-State) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
