St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Cedar Park, TX, is seeking a Part Time Registered Respiratory Therapist for Pediatrics.

You will work under the Respiratory Care Supervisor to deliver respiratory services to patients of all ages, following established guidelines and a focus on patient satisfaction. This role emphasizes accurate documentation, timely task completion, airway management, and potential lead therapist duties.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS, PALS and NICU resuscitation credentials must be obtained within required timeframes.
• NBRC-RRT credential is required.
• State credentials may be required (RCP/RT).
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages per guidelines.
• Prioritize tasks and complete assignments in a timely fashion.
• Complete accurate documentation of care.
• Demonstrate airway management and suctioning as applicable.
• Lead shift as needed and maintain service excellence.

Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Care Supervisor, provides respiratory care services to patients of all agesin accordance withaccepted respiratory care practices andestablisheddepartmental and hospital guidelines.Participates in providingpatient specificcare standards asdirected, andfollows service excellence standards to ensurehigh levelsof patient satisfaction.

• Prioritizes work appropriately and completes assignments ina timelyfashion.

• Completes all required documentation with special attention to detail andaccuracy.

• Demonstrates competency in proper airway care including, as applicable: airway suctioning, oral and nasal airway care,cuff pressuremonitoring, andextubation.

• Demonstrates competency in the performance of routine patient assessment and in the ability to correctly recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction.

• Performs quality control procedures, asrequired.

• Employee’sconduct must reflect the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct ethics and compliance program.

• Competency in new procedures is gained ina timelyfashion as they are incorporated into the department’s practices.
