Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification required
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required or within 6 months of start
• Bachelor's or Associate degree and state licensure needed

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor respiratory status and needs across settings
• Deliver therapy including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance
• Manage ventilation and airway support (invasive and noninvasive)
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with physicians and nurses
• Maintain and transport equipment following infection prevention standards

Education

NBRC-RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist

Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree

RRT/RCP-State License

ACLS within 6 months

BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
