Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Care Department. This full-time role offers day shifts with weekend option and a 12-hour shift pattern, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

You will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team while ensuring safety, documentation, and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Assoc or CoARC Accredited Program in Respiratory Therapy.
• Respiratory Therapy education required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including documentation and handoff.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory therapies and procedures.
• Maintain time management while performing multiple duties.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures per standards and policies.
• Provide advanced clinical and critical care support as needed (ECMO, mechanical ventilation, etc.).
