Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our evening, night, and weekend coverage in Missouri. You will perform direct patient care according to physician orders and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on respiratory therapies.

The ideal candidate holds an NBRC-registered RRT credential, current RCP licensure, and ACLS certification. Critical care experience is preferred, with comprehensive benefits and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Has NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; PALS may be required in ER.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders.

Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.

Licensure

Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.

Certifications

Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.

Other

Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.

All appropriate respiratory care devices.

Preferred Experience

Prefer critical care experience.
