Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the 12X3 night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with rotating Sundays through Saturdays. The RT will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing according to physician orders and established protocols.

Requirements include Texas RCP licensure, BLS, NBRC registration, and applicable ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications with a minimum of 6 months respiratory care experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing with the state of Texas.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications where applicable; within 1 year of hire must obtain.

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging Respiratory Therapist position, you‘ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Respiratory Therapist consistently performs evidence based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in accordance with physician orders and evidence based protocols.

Your Job Requirements

• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) by the state of Texas
• Current Basic Life Support certification required
• Advanced Cardio Life Support, NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support where applicable certification - must obtain within 1 year of hire)
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• If Certified, must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience
