Job Summary

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the respiratory therapist provides services throughout the continuum of care. Responsibilities include performing therapeutic, rehabilitative, and diagnostic procedures for patients with or at risk of cardiopulmonary abnormalities. Collaborates with healthcare team members to develop care plans, performs patient assessments, evaluates therapy effectiveness, and delegates activities as appropriate. May serve as an in-charge therapist and preceptor.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program with an associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• Registration (RRT) by the NBRC.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in Michigan.
