Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for clinicians in respiratory care.

The role requires graduation from a CoArc approved program, current RCP license, and NBRC-registered RRT credential; ACLS is preferred and PALS may be required for ER colleagues. Mercy offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Position Details

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.


• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.


• Experience: None.


• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.


• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.


• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
