Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care across all respiratory services, following physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for the medical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.

• RRT credential required; PALS if ER staff.
• ACLS preferred.

Position Details

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
