Job Description

1. Therapeutic Modalities: Ventilatory management, recommend and administer therapeutic regimes, airway management.
2. Diagnostic: Assess and perform acid-base, ventilation, oxygenation, quality control, and diagnostic procedures.
3. Assessment: Conduct clinical and physical assessments to ensure individualized patient-focused therapy.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records for clinical information, patient charting, and billing.
5. Equipment: Select, assemble, ensure proper function, perform quality control, and maintain infection control.
6. Education: Serve as an instructor to students and groups upon request.

Job Knowledge

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist, with credentials maintained through the NBRC.
• Maintain a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner License in the state of employment.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill to care for a wide range of patients, primarily adults, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics.
• Complete hospital and department-specific orientations.
