We Are Hiring
  • Department: Freestanding Emergency Department
  • Schedule: PRN, Rotating
  • Hospital: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola
  • Location: Pensacola, FL
What You Will Do

Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

  • Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatments based on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Therapist credential from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire or transfer date required.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
