Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy department. This full-time night shift position offers a 36-hour work week with alternating weekends and a $7500 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Must be registered Respiratory Therapist with NBRC and Maryland license.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification and ACLS required; NRP if NICU.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to collaborate with physicians and staff.
• English proficiency; good written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for a defined group.

• Provide care for neonate to geriatric patients per unit scope.
• Engage patient and family in assessment and ongoing care.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care to a specified group of patients.
• Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals and other staff to ensure the quality of care given.
• Provides care for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient (as defined in the unit scope of care).
• Utilizes knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient’s age to ensure that care provided meets the unique, physical and psychosocial needs of the patient. Involves appropriate parties (i.e.; patient’s family or guardian, outside agencies) in the assessment, treatment and continuing care of the patient as needed.
• Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
  

What you will need:

• Registry with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current licensure from the state of Maryland as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• At least one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
• Current CPR training with recertification every two years.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) if working in NICU/Special Care Nursery
• Able to demonstrate good ability to communicate using English language in written and verbal fashion, promoting a team approach to patient care
• Visual acuity at all ranges corrected or uncorrected
• Normal hearing range corrected or uncorrected
  

Pay Range-$33.73-$50.59

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
