Department: Respiratory Therapy


$7500 Sign-on Bonus, based on eligibility


Full-time position: 36 hours per week, 7AM-7:30PM. WEEKENDS ONLY - Flexible schedules available, including alternate Fri, Sat & Sun or Sat, Sun & Mon.


Location: Henry Ford Providence Park - Novi, MI


GENERAL SUMMARY


  • Evaluate and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

  • Assess patient needs for treatment type and frequency; develop a care plan based on diagnosis.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment; record and communicate patient conditions.

  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.

  • Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatments based on patient outcomes.

  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and available community resources.

  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


  • Associate's or technical degree, or 4 years of relevant experience.

  • 3-5 years ICU experience preferred.

  • NICU experience is a plus.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED


  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire; American Heart Association accepted.

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist credential from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care prior to hire.

  • Advanced Life Support (preferred); American Heart Association accepted.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification (preferred); American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred); American Heart Association accepted.
