Job summary

Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson, NC is seeking a Full-Time Staff Respiratory Therapist/Technician to provide neonatal through geriatric respiratory care on-site in the Cardiopulmonary department. The role includes a range of respiratory therapy procedures, diagnostic testing, and patient care duties while supporting department operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Associate degree, Bachelor degree, or certificate in Respiratory Care required.
• Minimum of one year of respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform oxygen, aerosol, humidity, bronchodilator, and chest physiotherapy treatments.
• Provide ventilator management and airway care including intubation/extubation.
• Perform arterial blood gas collection, analysis and interpretation.
• Conduct pulmonary diagnostics including spirometry, peak flow testing, and oximetry.
