Responsible for the pulmonary care of critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the supervision of a physician. Performs patient assessments and implements respiratory care plans. Executes various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures across hospital departments.

It is the area's leading emergency facility and the only Level II Trauma Center in the Coastal Bend, staffed with specially trained physicians and nurses.
