The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in respiratory care, with experience in various settings including PICU, inpatient, and outpatient environments. This role is critical for providing high-quality respiratory therapy to patients with diverse needs, ensuring their comfort and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory therapy needs.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health management and equipment use.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments administered.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Experience

• A degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred.
• Experience in PICU, pulmonology, critical care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in performing patient assessments and administering respiratory medications.
• Familiarity with operating room protocols and procedures is a plus.
