Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain Market is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, planning, intervention and education. Duties include ventilator management, oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications, with responsibilities extending to patient and staff education and evaluation of responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related healthcare field preferred.
• NBRC credentialed preferred; RRT preferred.
• EPIC EHR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care through assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation.
• Perform procedures including oxygen delivery, aerosolized meds, ventilator care and bronchoscopy assistance.
• Assess patient status and adjust therapies based on clinical response.
• Monitor imaging, ABG results and vitals; document procedures.
• Supervise and train new staff or students.
