Department: Respiratory

Schedule: Full Time - Nights - 36 hours per week; 3-12 hour shifts; 6:30pm - 7:00am

Location: Henry Ford Health St. John - Detroit

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy primarily to critical care patients in the Intensive Care Units. Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for patients in the Intensive Care and General Practice Units. Maintains clinical expertise for departmental assignments across various business units throughout HFHS, as assigned. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs. Documents all aspects of patient care accurately. Supervises, directs, and delegates tasks to respiratory therapists, externs, and students as assigned. Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.
