Qualifications

Up to a $15,000 Sign-on Bonus - based on areas you will train in & based on eligibility

FULL Time (36 hours per week); DAY Shift 6:30am to 7:00pm. Every other weekend and holiday

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
• Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatment effectiveness based on patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date. American Heart Association accepted.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care prior to hire or transfer.
• Advanced Life Support (preferred). American Heart Association accepted.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) (preferred).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred). American Heart Association accepted.
