Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, Georgia, part of HCA Healthcare, has an exciting Registered Respiratory Therapist opportunity with increased pay rates for RRT positions.

You will perform patient assessments, administer respiratory therapies, assist with artificial airways, and manage mechanical ventilation within a large regional health system. A strong benefits package and professional development opportunities accompany the role.

Qualificações

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Current licensure in CRT or RRT; if CRT, must earn RRT within 12 months.
• 1+ year of respiratory care experience preferred.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS within 6 months.
• Credentialed and active NBRC member.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
• Administer respiratory care therapies: oxygen delivery, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airways placement; initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor therapeutic response; notify provider and intervene as needed.
• Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• You will perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. You will conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
• You will administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
• You will assist with placement of artificial airways. You will initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• You will monitor patient for therapeutic response. You will notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
• You will assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
• You will respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required
• Current licensure in CRT or RRT (if CRT – must earn RRT within 12 months) required
• 1+ year of experience in respiratory care preferred
• BCLS required within 30 days of hire required
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire required
• Credentialed and active member of NBRC required
