Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a mid-level Registered Respiratory Therapist in Tyler, TX. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and an RRT certification.

You will administer non-invasive ventilation, perform ABG sampling, manage oxygen therapy, deliver aerosolized medications, and perform airway suctioning as part of a collaborative care team. You will educate patients and families, monitor care plans, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• A valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RRT.
• Proficiency in non-invasive ventilation, ABG sampling & interpretation, oxygen therapy devices & titration, aerosolized medication delivery, nebulizer therapy, and airway suctioning.
• Excellent patient care skills and a deep understanding of respiratory care principles and practices.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, challenging healthcare environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of advancements in respiratory care.
• The ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions under pressure.
• The physical stamina for regular, heavy lifting and the ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Administering non-invasive ventilation and managing patients with respiratory issues.
• Performing ABG sampling and interpretation to monitor and manage the patient's respiratory status.
• Utilizing oxygen therapy devices and performing titration to ensure appropriate oxygen levels for patients.
• Delivering aerosolized medication and providing nebulizer therapy to patients as needed.
• Performing airway suctioning to maintain clear airways for patients.
• Evaluating and monitoring patients' respiratory care plans and progress.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to devise individualized care plans for patients.
• Educating patients and their families about their conditions and teaching appropriate disease management techniques.
• Maintaining, cleaning, and regularly testing respiratory therapy equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
• Adhering to safety standards and precautions at all times.
