Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Night Shift (Rotating Weekends)

Location: Sanford, FL

A full-service acute care hospital is seeking dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) to join its growing respiratory care team. This 221-bed facility is recognized as a Level II Trauma Center and provides a wide range of advanced services, including a comprehensive cardiovascular program, orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation, and complete imaging services.

Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with departmental standards and professional practice guidelines. As an integral member of the care team, the therapist performs diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. This role provides the opportunity to elevate skills in advanced care areas, including vascular access.

Responsibilities

As part of the care team, the Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality respiratory care in accordance with departmental standards and professional practice guidelines. Duties include performing diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitoring patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. The role supports the opportunity to develop skills in advanced care areas, such as vascular access.

Qualifications
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC and current state licensure
  • Completion of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate’s Degree or equivalent)
  • BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • NRP certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Open to new graduates who have passed or are awaiting official licensure, provided no prior respiratory experience
