CommonSpirit Health in Georgia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join an established RT team delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients with breathing issues. The role covers treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizers to ventilator management and oxygen therapies.

You will apply assessment skills and critical thinking to develop care plans, handle routine and emergent situations, and maintain accurate real-time documentation for patient care during the night shift

Formación

• Requires Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Six to twelve months of experience in Respiratory Care or related field.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner license in GA (upon hire).
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days; ACLS within 30 days; Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist within 12 months.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patient condition and recommend a treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Assist with insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Document timely and accurate charting in real time.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Full Time Nights: 7:00pm - 07:00am

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, unwavering calm under pressure, and the ability to anticipate outcomes. Your dedication to patient well-being and exceptional problem-solving abilities will drive success in this vital role.
