Job description

This posting is for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) based in Kissimmee, FL, at a Joint Commission-accredited, 404-bed regional medical center serving Osceola County — minutes from Orlando. The hospital operates a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Heart & Vascular Institute, Level II NICU, Pediatric ER, and a freestanding emergency department, reflecting a broad acute care scope.

The role

Working under general supervision, the RRT sets up and administers routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures across all patient age groups. A significant focus of the position is the application and operation of acute care ventilators for both short- and long-term continuous mechanical ventilation. Therapists are expected to function independently and in a self-directed manner when a Team Leader is not present, maintaining accurate department records and entering therapy documentation into the hospital's clinical information system.
