Job summary

Saint Clare's Health, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for a per diem night shift in New Jersey. You will perform respiratory therapies and diagnostics as ordered, with emphasis on assessment, planning, and documentation tailored to patient age groups.

The role requires a current RCP license, NBRC RRT or eligibility within 3 months, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and preferred neonatal resuscitation and a degree.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required on hire and maintained.
• PALS certification from AHA or ARC required on hire and maintained or within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Plan, implement and document care with attention to age/population specific needs.
• May be identified as Lead RCP in absence of supervisor and oversee the section/department during shift.

Responsibilities

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, the RCP II is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred.

Pay Transparency

Saint Clare's Health offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $47.22. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
