Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shift, full-time. The RT will deliver professional respiratory care to patients within an assigned unit, orient patients to treatments, and set measurable goals aligned with care plans.

The role requires NBRC-registered RRT, Michigan licensure, and BLS/ACLS. Prior respiratory experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth within the Trinity Health System.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC.
• Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Previous respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in the assigned unit.
• Orient patients to treatments and set measurable goals for their care.
• Assess, administer, monitor, and evaluate aerosolized medication treatments.
• Collaborate with the care team to support the medical plan.

SUMMARY

The Respiratory Therapistrenders professional respiratory care to patients within an assigned unit or floor within the hospital, in support of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. Orients patients to their treatments and develops measurable respiratory goals for each patient at their level of growth/development/age group and understanding. Assess, administers, monitors, evaluates aerosolized medication treatments to patients.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program required.
• Registered as Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
• Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist License required.
• BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association required.
• Previous Respiratory experience preferred.
