Overview

An established healthcare facility in Beckley, WV is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its clinical team. This mid-level role involves delivering respiratory care services under medical supervision to ensure optimal patient outcomes across hospital departments.

What you'll do

• Provide respiratory care services across various hospital departments, adapting to specific duty assignments
• Supervise other respiratory care practitioners and provide orientation and in-service education as needed
• Operate independently, making decisions in accordance with approved medical policies and procedures
• Analyze lung capacity and blood samples using advanced equipment
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient response
• Document and communicate patient conditions effectively
• Respond promptly to emergency codes and provide appropriate respiratory treatment
• Educate patients and families about illnesses and available community resources
• Manage respiratory care supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration
