Preferred candidates have critical care exposure (ICU/NICU) and at least two years in respiratory care, with graduation from a respiratory therapy program. RRT and California license are required; BLS is required and ACLS/PALS/NRP must be completed before orientation. Per Diem, 12-hour shifts with differential pay.
Under the leadership of the department director and/or supervisor, the RCP provides respiratory care services to patients of all ages. These services include assessment and reassessment of clinical conditions where indicated, and determination, implementation, and documentation of appropriate therapies. The RCP provides education according to current department standards for patients, families, community members, students and other staff.
Preferences:
Acute care to include critical care experience (ICU, NICU)
Two (2) years or more experience in field of Respiratory Care preferred
Graduate of a school for Respiratory Therapy.
Must pass orientation and initial competency assessment prior to independent assignment of patients requiring the applicable skill, and must complete and pass all annual competencies.
Newly hired employees must have Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
Valid California license for respiratory care. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications must be obtained prior to completion of orientation and independent assignment.
