Qualifications

FTE: 0.9, Shift: Night, Schedule: 12-hour shifts

Position Summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for delivering skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. This requires advanced practitioner skills to manage complex patient care situations, including ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, tailored to the patient's age and needs. The position operates independently with limited supervision and involves internal contacts with staff and management, and external contacts with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy Training program
  • Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington
  • Registry eligibility to sit for the RRT exam from NBRC
  • Advanced cardiac life support credential within 90 days of hire, depending on the patient population (ACLS, NRP, PALS)
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of acute care experience in respiratory therapy and critical care; CRT preferred

Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting all educational qualifications.

The pay scale ranges from $39.26 to $64.88 USD, influenced by experience, skills, certifications, and education. Pay may be adjusted based on union contracts or other factors.
