Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System's Bone-Diagnostics Institute is hiring a Registered Radiology Technologist for the Neuro Expansion in Cleveland. This role performs general radiology, portable exams and fluoroscopy, prepares patients and produces high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure. Work hours are 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT and in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology

Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT

This role includes the exciting opportunityprovidecare in Cleveland Clinic Main Campus’ new NeurologicalInstitute. Thisnew, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor,state-of-the-artfacilityisdesigned to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiplesclerosisand stroke.

In addition to working in the new Neurological Institute, caregivers in this role will have the opportunity to provide patient care inadditionalareas across Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, including Cardiac, Digestive Disease, Medical-Surgical and more.

Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible forpreparing patients for the exam,movingand instructing the patient into the proper position, correctlyoperatingthe equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may go on to specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonanceimagingand nuclear medicine.

A caregiver in this positionworks evenings from 2:00 p.m. -- 10:30 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
