Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital as a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and provide physicians with high-quality images for diagnosis. Work 2nd shift with on-call duties and participate in a comprehensive imaging program with access to Cleveland Clinic’s imaging school and MRI/Cat Scan/Ultrasound programs.

Minimum qualifications include ARRT registration, state licensure, and BLS certification; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

As a Radiologist Technologist, you will use your knowledge and learned skills to operate various types of x-ray equipment, including stationary unity, mobile machines, C-arms and fluoroscopy systems, to provide physicians with images to help diagnose conditions. On this team, your efforts can help facilitate a welcoming, calming and healing environment to relieve any discomfort or unease patients may feel throughout the exam process. While growing alongside your team, you can also explore opportunities offered through Cleveland Clinic, such as Imaging school or advanced MRI, Cat Scan or Ultrasound Programs.

A caregiver in this position works 2nd shift M-F 3PM-1130PM with on call (M-F for third shift if needed from 11PM - 7AM could be called in to help cover things as needed, Weekend is 7A-7P in case someone calls off) and holiday rotation (1 Summer Holiday and 1 Winter Holiday, 2 holidays per year and 1-2 holiday call shifts per year).

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $29.00

Maximum hourly: $44.50
