Registered Radiologic Technologist - Outpatient
  • Department KOI - Imaging Services - Ironwood
  • Schedule/Shift/Hours Part Time - Variable

Outpatient Radiology Technologist - Registered

Position Summary:

Operates x-ray equipment in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services.

Responsibilities:

  • May prepare and administer various chemical mixtures as appropriate to the nature of the procedure being carried out
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Typically reports to an Imaging Supervisor
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school in Radiologic Technology or US Military equivalent required
  • Current Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
  • BLS required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or Kootenai Health BLS during General Orientation

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
  • Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
  • Potential exposure to electrical/ mechanical harm
