Registered Radiologic Technologist - Inpatient
Position Summary
Hospital radiology technologist operates x-ray equipment in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services in the operating room, emergency department and throughout the hospital.
Responsibilities
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Radiology field
• May prepare and administer various chemical mixtures as appropriate to the nature of the procedure being carried out
• Works under immediate supervision
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
• Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school in Radiologic Technology required
• Current Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
• BLS required
Working Conditions
• Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
• Must be able to push, pull or transport heavy equipment
• Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
• Potential exposure to electrical/ mechanical harm
