Job summary

Clayton Services in Southwest Houston seeks a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to oversee residential and commercial surveying projects, ensure quality control, and deliver accurate surveys with excellent client service. Direct hire, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas RPLS license (or eligibility), 2–5 years of RPLS experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD. Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license required, or eligibility to obtain Texas licensure if currently licensed in another state.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD required.
• Experience supporting residential homebuilder, commercial, and engineering surveying projects preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveying services for residential homebuilders, commercial developments, engineering firms, and other clients.
• Manage project assignments and ensure new projects are properly scheduled and distributed.
• Oversee multiple surveying projects to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Review survey deliverables to ensure compliance with established quality control standards.
• Monitor project progress and maintain open communication with clients and internal teams throughout each phase of the project.
• Coordinate workflows to maintain project schedules and meet required turnaround times.
• Collaborate with engineering, surveying, and project teams to support successful project execution.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail on all survey deliverables.
