Job summary

UNC Health’s Pardee UNC Health Care Sleep Lab is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to perform comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and out-of-center testing, scoring, and patient education. The role requires BRPT certification and completion of an accredited sleep technology program with licensure.

The selected candidate will work onsite in the Sleep Lab, contribute to patient care, and provide oversight as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist by BRPT.
• Successful completion of a sleep technology program with state licensure and/or accredited program for certificate or associate degree in sleep technology.

Responsibilities

• Acquire polysomnographic data with artifact-free signals.
• Document sleep stages and events to support scoring and interpretation.
• Score sleep studies accurately and timely.
• Exercise independent clinical judgment when medical direction is not available.
• Evaluate patient conditions to prevent deterioration from misjudgment.
• Follow department procedures (PARDEE).
