Responsibilities

This is a WOW (Work on Weekends) position. Schedules for WOW employees include every weekend (Nights - Friday & Saturday, Days - Saturday & Sunday). Employees in designated WOW position earn premium pay in addition to their competitive hourly rates and shift differential.

The Registered Polysomnographic Technician (PSG Tech) performs routine and complex Polysomnographic recordings using their understanding of the technical aspects of equipment used in monitoring, and recognizes parameters used in recording. Technicians perform PSG and CPAP/BiPAP testing efficiently and effectively, providing quality care to all patients. The Polysomnographic Technician demonstrates a willingness to assist others, work well with minimal supervision, and exercise strong, independent judgment. The technician follows department and hospital policies and procedures during patient care and is responsible for ongoing professional development.


Qualifications

Required:

  • One of: RPGST, RST, or SDS

Desired:

  • One year of experience in a sleep medicine setting
  • Diploma or higher education in a related field
  • Polysomnographic Technologist certification OR Registered Sleep Technologist certification OR Sleep Disorders Specialty (National)
