Role Description The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is a full-time, on-site role located in Clive, IA. Responsibilities include preparing patients for sleep studies, setting up and calibrating polysomnographic equipment, monitoring and documenting sleep stages and related physiological data, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the study. The technologist will score sleep studies according to established guidelines, assist in the diagnosis of sleep disorders, and collaborate with sleep medicine physicians and other clinical staff. Additional tasks include educating patients about sleep study procedures, maintaining accurate records, and supporting quality assurance and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in polysomnography, including patient setup, data acquisition, and scoring.
• Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and sleep medicine principles relevant to diagnostic and therapeutic care.
• Understanding of respiratory therapy concepts as they apply to sleep-related breathing disorders.
• Current registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or eligibility to obtain certification within a defined timeframe.
• Experience in a sleep lab or clinical setting and familiarity with in-lab and home sleep testing equipment.
• Ability to work overnight and flexible shifts, maintain attention to detail, and follow standardized protocols.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory care.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification and adherence to all safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
