RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine and non-routine pharmacy technician functions related to the position.
• Multi-task between software programs, handle multiple telecommunication lines, and work efficiently in all Microsoft programs.
• Exercise excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external parties.
• Ensure all documented information is accurate and professionally presented.
• Use, pronounce, and spell common medical and pharmacy terms effectively.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors and work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• No patient counseling is required.
• Intake Team: Responsible for insurance data entry and verification of benefits.
• Provide exceptional service to patients, staff, insurance representatives, vendors, and colleagues.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls, emails, and internal communications for the pharmacy.
• Coordinate with pharmacy teams to expedite services.
• Adherence Team: Document and encourage therapy adherence, manage medication information, and report updates.
• Revenue Team: Process prescriptions for billing, resolve insurance issues, and support financial operations.
• Dispensing & Distribution Team: Dispense oral oncology medications accurately, including counting, filling, ordering, stocking, packaging, and shipping.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in relevant settings.
• Core Capabilities: Critical thinking, problem solving, organizational skills, detailed orientation, and independent judgment.
• Interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, and diversity awareness.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

• Licenses & Certifications: Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in Florida (FL RPT), National Certification (PTCB) preferred.
