We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assisting pharmacists with medication repackaging, compounding, filling, and delivery, tailored to patients from 0 to adult age groups. The technician will also handle procurement, record keeping, storage, and distribution of controlled substances.

Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions and medication orders, prepare medications
• Ensure proper distribution and delivery of pharmaceutical supplies
• Deliver doses within departmental time standards
• Complete and document activity checklists, including expired drugs, cleaning, and supply orders
• Check communication channels such as email and mailbox each shift
• Perform daily filing of medication orders and stop orders
• Coordinate with Materials and Logistics to maintain adequate stock
• Assist in implementing new formulations and updating related documentation and systems
• Conduct weekly inspections of pharmacy areas and study drugs in preparation for patient visits

All candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing to ensure workplace safety.

Qualifications:

• RPHT-TX - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy, or
• PHAR INT - Pharmacy Intern
• CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is preferred
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience is preferred
• 40 hours of accredited training in sterile compounding is preferred
