Qualifications

Responsibilities

Shift/Schedule

• Full Time - Scheduled for 40 Weekly Hours
• Primary Shift Times - Afternoons/Evenings (1pm-9:30pm). Availability on Other Shifts for Coverage - As Needed
• Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Job Summary:

The Registered Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing pharmacy services, including, but not limited to preparing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, providing customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. The Registered Pharmacy Technician works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team, and under the direction of the Pharmacist.

Essential Functions:

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with the guidelines of the General Pharmaceutical Council
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
• Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School Degree or GED

Licensure/Certification:

• Valid Registered Pharmacy Technician License by State Board of Pharmacy (required)
• Valid state driver’s license (required)

Experience:

• Previous experience working in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion pharmacy (preferred)

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to be proactive in a rapidly changing environment
• Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
• Possesses problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Requires knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic technique
