Job summary

Tower Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in delivering hospital pharmacy services. The role involves working under a licensed pharmacist to prepare, dispense, distribute, and return patient-specific medications, including intravenous admixtures, while maintaining automated equipment and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a PA-registered Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee in Pennsylvania is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in professional responsibilities and pharmacy services.
• Works under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.
• Participates in preparation, dispensing, distribution and return of patient-specific medications including IV admixtures.
• Maintains and operates automated technology equipment.
• Packages unit-of-use dosages.
• Maintains and transports pharmaceuticals.
• Performs tasks related to regulatory compliance.
• Documents activities and performs other duties as required.

Full-Time Evening Shift: M-F 2PM-10:30PM; Every Other Weekend & Every Other Holiday

The Pharmacy Technician:

• Assists the pharmacist in his/her professional responsibilities in providing pharmacy services
• Works under the direction of a licensed pharmacist
• Participates in the preparation, dispensing, distribution and return of patient specific medications including intravenous admixtures
• Supplies and maintains automated technology equipment
• Packages unit of use dosages
