University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Pharmacy Technician under pharmacist supervision to mechanically prepare prescriptions for final check. Responsibilities include entering orders into the computer profile, pulling and counting medications, and handling third-party billings and inventory management.

Ideal candidates have basic computer/data entry skills, strong communication, and knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures.

Job Description

Under supervision of the pharmacists, is able to accomplish all areas with the mechanical preparation of prescriptions for final check by pharmacists. Duties include order entry into computer profile, pulling and counting medications, and processing of third party billings and inventory replacement and management.

Required Experience

1. Work Experience:
   • Previous work experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
2. License/Registration/Certification:
   • Current Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
3. Education and Training:
   • High School graduate or equivalent or graduation from a Pharmacy Technician Program preferred.
