Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in the mechanical preparation and processing of prescriptions. The role includes order entry, medication pulling and counting, and handling third party billings and inventory management.

Strong computer literacy, data entry skills, clear communication, and knowledge of pharmacy terminology are essential. Texas state registration is required for employment, with a preference for prior pharmacy

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent or graduation from a Pharmacy Technician Program preferred.
• Current Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding/data entry skills required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications.
• Advanced Pharmacy Technician knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures.
