Envision Health Inc. is seeking a Registered Peer Support Specialist (RPSS) to provide strength-based support to clients navigating behavioral health services.

The role leverages lived recovery experience to inspire hope and promote self-determination. Responsibilities include building trusting relationships, assisting clients in identifying goals, supporting engagement with treatment and community resources, and documenting activities in line with DBHDS and DMAS standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS/RPSS) in Virginia.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Lived experience in recovery.
• Completion of DBHDS-approved training program; ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer recovery support services based on shared lived experience.
• Establish trusting, supportive relationships that promote recovery.
• Assist individuals in identifying strengths, goals, and recovery pathways.

Position Summary

The Registered Peer Support Specialist (RPSS) is an individual with lived experience in mental health and/or substance use recovery who provides strength-based, person-centered support to individuals receiving services. The RPSS utilizes their personal recovery journey to inspire hope, promote self-determination, and assist individuals in achieving and maintaining recovery while navigating behavioral health systems.
