We are currently seeking experienced:

REGISTERED NURSES (RN LICENSE REQUIRED)

Full Time, Nights

Job Description:

1. Assure quality nursing care for patients by following physician’s orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies and procedures.
2. Administer all medications (oral, s.q., I.M., or I.V.) as ordered by the MD and according to facility policies.
3. Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
4. Assist physicians with rounds as needed.
5. Drape, stay with, and care for patients during MD rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as necessary.
6. Perform treatments scheduled during shift and document appropriately. Maintain infection control measures as necessary.
7. Adhere to all regulations pertaining to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
8. Assist with research related to the quality of nursing care, as assigned.
9. Assist with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions; coordinate scheduling of physicals with attending physicians and ensure timely documentation.

Job Requirements:

1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a valid North Carolina RN license; submit proof of renewal biannually.
2. Provide quality nursing care, follow doctor’s orders, and demonstrate genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
3. Maintain CPR certification annually.
4. Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
5. Supervise nursing assistants, ensuring timely and appropriate completion of work.
6. Dependable, flexible, cooperative, with patience and tact in interactions with patients, families, and staff.
7. Make informed decisions regarding nursing issues, understanding the serious consequences of errors or incompetence.
