Job summary

Right at Home in Iowa City is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate in-home care. You will assess client needs, implement care plans, and collaborate with families and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires nursing licensure, 2+ years of experience (home health/hospice preferred), CPR, a valid driver’s license, and excellent communication in English. Weekend availability and ongoing training are included.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license to practice in the state.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; home health or hospice preferred.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform nursing procedures under physician direction as defined by state act.
• Meet requirements for direct client care.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle or reliable transport.
• Available for weekend and holiday shifts.
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed on the job.
• Participate in in-service education programs as mandated by state law.

What You’ll Do and Who You Are:

Must Haves:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state
• 2 years of nursing experience (home health/hospice preferred)
• Registered Nurse (RN) must possess and maintain current CPR certification
• Registered Nurse (RN) must be knowledge and have the ability, and the necessary skill and judgment to perform all nursing procedures under the direction of a physician as outlined in the scope of practice in the State’s Nurse Practice Act
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct client care
• Must have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
• Available for work on weekends and holidays as required
• Registered Nurses (RN) must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed on the job
• Participate in in-service education programs as mandated by State law (this requirement need not be met exclusively through Right at Home sponsored in-services programs)

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily works in client’s place of residence; travel may be require
• Shift times and days vary with client needs.
