Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's San Ramon Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Surgery Center unit. The RN will provide direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations, collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and support OR equipment and supply management in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Qualifications include BSN preferred, California RN license, BLS, and 6 months OR RN experience with 2 years perioperative nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Recent six months of OR RN experience required.
• Two years perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• Current California RN License is required.
• BLS certification for Health Care Providers (AHA) required.
• Certification in specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations.
• Communicates with surgeon(s) and the anesthesiologist regarding patient condition.
• Assists with maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
• Obtains supplies for cases and ensures operating room equipment is available and functioning.
• Meets the needs of the patient and surgical team during procedures.

Position Summary:

Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Uses unique knowledge and skills to contribute to perioperative patient outcomes that are defined as observable or measurable physiological, psychosocial and psychological responses to perioperative nursing interventions. Communicates and collaborates with surgeon(s) and the anesthesiologist continuously regarding the patient’s condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Obtains supplies for individual cases, ensures that operating room equipment is available and functioning, and that all appropriate needs of the patient and surgical team are met.

Required:Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Experience/Skills

Minimum of recent six (6) months of OR RN experience required; two (2) years recent perioperative nursing experience preferred

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials

• Current California Registered Nurse License
• Current BLS certification for Health Care Providers (AHA certified)
• Certification in specialty preferred
